Dr. Traci Ballou-Broadnax

Dr. Ballou-Broadnax is a founding psychologist at Thriving Point, and primarily provides Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for many types of trauma and offers group therapy to address perfectionism. Through her training and work experiences, she has learned to empathize, and work effectively, with college students and adults (18+) across the lifespan, from diverse backgrounds, and with a wide-range of concerns.

By combining EMDR, interpersonal, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and emotion-focused approaches, Dr. Ballou-Broadnax helps clients explore how early development, attachment, relational factors, and difficult life experiences interact with the present to influence, maintain, and reinforce challenging thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses.

She strives to create a warm, collaborative, flexible, and non-judgmental space; and offers clients a relationship characterized by respect for their experiences, sensitivity to their identities and cultures, and a genuine desire to hear their unique stories.
